Offering care and support to the congregation lies at the heart of our Care Ministry. Everyone needs care \u2014 not only in times of gladness, but also in times that are uncertain, difficult, and marked by sickness, crisis, and suffering.<\/span><\/p>\n The Bible exhorts us to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15), and to bear one another\u2019s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). We seek to put this exhortation into practice in the life of the congregation at IRECT.<\/span><\/p>\n IRECT provides care for the congregation through:<\/span><\/p>\n As the body of Christ, it is vital that we look after and support our members, especially those who are weak. Those who are unable to come to church to have fellowship with other believers; those who are suffering from illness; those who have been long absent from worship at church; and those who are grieving \u2014 all of them need care. During our visitation, we listen to them, pray with them and for them, and strengthen them with God\u2019s Word.<\/span><\/p>\n We joyfully welcome members of the congregation and visitors to IRECT, especially those who are coming for the first time. Newcomers will have a chance to be introduced to the congregation and receive a welcome package from our welcoming team, along with a visitor card to fill out and return to one of our team members so that follow-up can be arranged.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to visitation and welcoming, the Care Ministry also organizes fellowship programs that aim to strengthen relationships among members of the congregation \u2014 this includes congregational birthday celebrations, church picnics, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Everyone seeks to feel welcomed in a new environment, and desires friendship with others. For this reason, the question above is an important one. We recommend three ways for you to get connected at IRECT:<\/span><\/p>\n Attend our prayer meetings and Bible study programs. By praying together, we are able to share our experiences and the burdens of life, give thanks, and bring our anxieties before God. By studying the Bible together, we discuss, seek to understand and appreciate the another\u2019s perspective, as well as learn and grow together.<\/span><\/p>\n Join our retreat. We hold a retreat once a year. Based on the feedback we have received from many who have attended IRECT retreats, we know that\u00a0 the retreat not only helps meet the spiritual needs of of our members and newcomers, but also provides opportunities for attendees to get to know one another more closely.<\/span><\/p>\n Get involved in ministry. We believe that one of the most excellent ways to build godly and loving relationships with another is by serving in ministries together. We invite you to get involved and volunteer in our ministries from time to time.<\/span><\/p>\n Finally, experience has taught us that getting connected also requires effort on our part \u2014 and we are called to take the first step ourselves.
