Growth Group Ministry
A Discipleship Group is a small group formed with the goalĀ for each of its members to receive the Jesus as their Lord and Savior and to live and grow in Him.
The main activities of discipleship groups are prayer, studying the Word of God, and putting godly and Biblical obedience into practice together. Each meeting usually lasts about an hour and a half. The size of each group is limited to four to eight people, which accommodates several advantages compared with larger gatherings, such as Sunday worship services. These advantages include two-way communication, discussion, a more personal atmosphere, greater ease in expressing opinions and asking questions, and a means for personal and group accountability.
The groups are assigned by age, so there are groups specifically for young adults and teens, and others for adults. The materials sourced also vary according to need, including materials for families and married couples, parenting, understanding Christianity, learning to grow for new believers, amongst others..
